Spring Ahead!

Keep an eye on our IG (@hopsandcurds) for the latest happenings and hours.

Hibernation Mode

In light of everything going on with surges, supply chain shortages, having to hire more staff to safely keep up with city mandates but mostly wanting to provide a great experience to every customer, we’ve decided as a team it would be a good time to take care of some behind the scenes business until things settle down. With that being said, we will be closed the rest of January. We plan to work on some exciting new things during this break, so keep an eye on our social for sneak peaks and a reopening date!

Thank you all for understanding, and we hope to see you soon.

Happy New Year!

If you are planning on visiting us, please see below:

As of January 3, 2022, the City of Chicago will require any individual 5 years or older to show proof of full vaccination from Covid-19 to dine indoors. Patrons age 16 and over will also need to provide identification that matches their vaccination record. The City of Chicago mask mandate also remains in effect for all public indoor settings.

PLEASE NOTE: Only proof of full vaccination status and identification will be accepted. Negative Covid tests (rapid or PCR) will not be accepted in place of vaccine cards.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Also… A Heads Up – A few of our food items are temporarily on hiatus due to supply and staffing issues. If there’s anything you’re really craving, make sure to give us a call ahead of time to check if it’s available. Thank you for your patience and understanding. 😊

Happy Holidays!

Hard to believe it’s that time of year again! As we reflect upon this past year and look forward to the new year, we would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who visited us in 2021. We appreciate your patience, support, encouragement, and love as we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape.

We’ve been working hard on several different events and additional days & hours for 2022 and are super excited to share those with you as soon as we are able.

FYI – We’ll be closed for the last two weeks of December so our staff can get some well deserved R&R.

Happy Holidays, and a safe and healthy New Year to everyone! See you in January!

As per updated guidance from the CDC, the Chicago Department of Public Health is requiring that everyone age two or older, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks in public indoor settings, effective Friday, August 20, 2021.

Here we go again…

Until further notice, face coverings are required for unvaccinated people.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Eat. Sleep. Beach. Repeat.

Summer has finally arrived! Our staff is fully vaccinated and ready to welcome everyone back with no restrictions. And a big thank you to those of you who patiently abided by our temporary dining rules. You rule.

We’re excited to announce that we now have patio seating, so make sure you bring your four-legged family members! Make a reservation here.

We’re updating our Summer menu with some new hoptails and dishes, and we’ve been working hard on a brunch menu (shhh…don’t tell), so stay tuned!

We no longer offer delivery, but feel free to order takeout here.

Thanks for hanging in there with us this past year. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hello, and welcome back!  The world has changed quite a bit since we last saw everyone, and we hope you all are staying healthy and safe.  We miss the buzz, laughter, celebrations, awkward first dates, and people simply enjoying themselves here at H&C.  After careful consideration, we now feel prepared to responsibly reopen.

BAD NEWS FIRST – As you may know, Chicago has put a temporary ban on indoor dining until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation and offer in-person dining only when we feel that it is safe to do so. GOOD NEWS – In the meantime, we are excited to announce we are offering takeout & delivery. Check out our new menu and order here.

Our reopening has been thoroughly planned with the most important person in mind – you.  Your health and safety are our top priority, and we have been working to ensure full compliance with the City of Chicago and State of Illinois regulations.  Our staff continues to receive the most up-to-date COVID-19 training, and every team member completes a health survey and temperature check before each shift.

Because of the current 40% capacity restrictions, we are limited to 25 guests in the dining room at a time with no more than six people per table.  Hand sanitizer will be available by our entrance and throughout the restaurant, and time limits of 90 minutes will be implemented when necessary to allow our staff to have enough time to turn over and sanitize tables for the next group of diners.  For your convenience, contactless menus and payments will be available.

With the Winter months coming soon, we know that outdoor dining will not be a practical nor desirable choice for diners and want to provide some reassurance that we have taken measures to keep our dining room safe.  On a monthly basis, we have our dining room and kitchen electrostatically cleaned from Sani Solutions and our HVAC system maintained with new MERV 13 air filters.

We are excited to announce that we are offering takeout & delivery services with a limited menu. Check out our today’s menu and order here. Please call 773-904-8835 with any questions about your order.

We understand that everyone may not feel comfortable dining-in at this time. When it is safe, and the local government allows, please call 773-904-8835 for reservations or feel free to just come by as we do accept walk-ins if seating is available.

Please join us for our brand new food & drink menu, always made with love.  We have gone to great lengths to stay open and to bring back a place of familiarity and comfort to the community.  Now, more than ever, we are looking forward to serving the neighborhood again.  See you soon!
